Game 1: Radyr Rangers Black 2-0 (L)
Game 2: Cardiff Bluebells 0-2 (W)
Game 3: Canton FC Yellow 3-0 (L)
Goals: Abigail & Jess
The final weekend of the season for our Under 8 Girls, and what a season it has been.
Back in August, this group started with just six players. Some were sideline siblings, others completely new to football, but every single one of them has shown incredible growth over the past year. Week by week, their confidence, understanding and ability have continued to improve.
With the support of Matt, Luke and James, the progress has been clear to see. From those early days of everyone chasing the ball, to now confidently moving it around the pitch and playing as a team, it has been a pleasure to watch. Whether it is our reliable goalkeepers, determined defenders or skilful forwards, every player has played their part.
We could not be prouder of this group. They have brought so much energy and enjoyment all season and have been a credit to themselves every week.
Player of the Match – Lily!
Another new addition to the team this week, and what a brilliant impact she made. Lily settled in straight away and worked tirelessly throughout. Every minute she was on the pitch she showed great determination to control the ball and get involved in play. On another day she would have had a goal to her name as well, only denied by the crossbar. A fantastic performance and a very well deserved Player of the Match.
Well done girls. Enjoy your well-earned break, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the summer for the 26/27 season.
UppaAllstars!

Under 8 Girls Show Huge Progress in Impressive Matchday Display!

Another fantastic morning of football for our Under 8 Girls, showing real progress and determination across all three games:
Game 1: 1–1 vs Cardiff Bluebells
Game 2: 2–0 vs Canton FC Yellow
(Goals: Jess & Isla L)
Game 3: 0–0 vs North Cardiff Cosmos Blue
Player of the Match – Isla Harris
After taking a knock to her ankle in the warm-up, Isla showed incredible bravery and resilience. With an ice pack and some TLC from our brilliant team helper Chloe, she returned to the pitch and put in an outstanding performance. Excellent runs, a tireless work ethic, and superb use of the footwork skills from training made her a deserved POTM.
The girls conceded just one goal all day, a long-range rocket from the halfway line, which really highlights how much this team has improved in such a short time. A special mention for the 0–0 draw against North Cardiff Cosmos Blue — our very first opponents back in September, who ran away with the win back then. Holding them scoreless today is a huge marker of progress.
Massive credit to the players and to the coaching team — Matt, Luke, and James — for all the hard work being put in week after week.
Keep up the great work, girls!

With that mindset, there’s no doubt they’ll be back to their winning ways next week!
Game 1: vs North Cardiff Cosmos (Blue) 1–3

A fantastic start saw the girls secure a 1–0 win. Jess found the net with a well-taken goal, assisted brilliantly by Freya.
Match 2 vs Radyr Rangers Blue
A tense and competitive game that finished 0–0. The girls showed great determination and teamwork throughout.

Special Mention: Maddie
Maddie stepped up for her first Allstars game and made an immediate impact. A great debut performance!

30th November -
Our girls bounce back brilliantly with 2 fantastic wins!
Match 1 vs North Cardiff Cosmos Red
Lost 1-5
A challenging start to the day, but the girls showed real bravery and effort from the first whistle. Isla was superb in goal, making some brilliant saves, and Jess blasted home a fantastic goal to lift the team. Even though the result didn’t go our way, the determination and teamwork were clear to see, and the girls kept going right to the end. A great foundation for the rest of the day.
Match 2 vs Cardiff Bluebells
WIN 4-1!
What a turnaround! The girls came out full of belief and energy, and it showed immediately. Jess was unstoppable, scoring all four goals with confidence and skill. Freya was rock-solid in goal, making important saves, and the whole team worked incredibly hard, covering every blade of grass and giving the Bluebells no space to play. A brilliant all-round performance and a wonderful response after the first match.
Match 3 vs Canton FC Blue
WIN 3-1!
The Allstars finished the day in style. Jess added two more well-taken goals, and Isla Harris was rewarded with a lovely finish of her own. The most impressive moment, though, was the team’s maturity. Despite some pushing and shoving from the opposition, our girls stayed calm, stayed focused, and chose to win by outplaying their opponents. That attitude is something to be extremely proud of.
💫Player of the Match: Jess - With an amazing seven goals across the day, and showing real courage after taking an early knock, Jess was a clear and deserving choice. Her teamwork, effort, and finishing were outstanding. Well done, Jess!
This weekend was another fantastic step forward for the Cardiff Allstars U8 Girls. Their development is shining through every week, and their positive attitude, hard work, and team spirit are a credit to themselves and the club.
A lovely extra highlight was the girls wearing their brand-new kits for the first time — and they truly looked the part.
A big thank you to our sponsor, Orthotix, for helping our team look and feel like stars!

Five Girls, One Huge Performance: Our Girls Shine!
What a day our girls had!
Despite being short on numbers due to sickness, our five determined players dug deep, played every minute, and made every second count.
Match 1
The girls kicked off against Canton FC Yellow and delivered a fantastic team performance. A brilliant first goal from Peyton, coupled with Freya being an absolute brick wall in goal, secured a well-deserved 1–0 victory.
A standout moment came from some sharp in-game coaching from Matt — Freya played clever goal kicks straight into Peyton’s feet as she waited high up the pitch. Great listening and even better execution. Well done, girls!
Match 2
Next up were Radyr Rangers Black. It was a tight end-to-end battle, and the girls created some excellent chances, but it just wasn’t to be this time, finishing in a 0–1 loss.
Isla was outstanding in goal from start to finish, showing real bravery and composure. Superb effort, Isla!
Match 3
The final match saw the girls face Canton FC Blue, and they absolutely ran away with it in a 3–1 win.
Two fantastic goals from Freya set the tone, before Isla Lock sealed the victory with a stunning left-footed strike into the top corner — a goal that’s been building for weeks and one nobody could have saved. Brilliant work, Isla!
💫Player of the Match: Freya - Choosing a Player of the Match was no easy task after such a strong team effort, but after some debate, the award went to Freya for her incredible performance in goal and her two brilliant goals. Well deserved, Freya!
The girls showed true heart and resilience throughout the day. For 6- and 7-year-olds to play every minute of three 15-minute games is no small feat, yet they pulled together, stayed positive, and delivered a dominant display of teamwork and determination.
Even with the loss in their second game, we couldn’t have asked for any more from them.
Well done, girls — we’re incredibly proud of you all!
16th November -

As one of only two Allstars teams taking to the field this weekend, our girls made the most of the opportunity and recorded their first ‘no loss’ weekend!

Despite another Sunday of tough weather conditions, the girls smiled through the rain and continue to show real progress week after week.
💫 Player of the Match: Isla – for her continued hard work, determination, and great attitude.
