A fantastic day for Cardiff Allstars FC Reserves in a dominant 7–1 victory over Ely Rangers FC Reserves C&D!
The Allstars got off to the perfect start, with Carl Boardman confidently converting an early penalty after a handball in the box. Despite controlling much of the possession and setting the tempo, Ely Rangers managed to pull one back just before the break, sending the teams in level at 1–1—something that didn’t quite reflect the balance of play.
The response in the second half was outstanding. The Allstars came out with real intent and quickly restored their lead through Carl Boardman’s second of the game. From there, the team hit top gear—moving the ball with confidence, creating chances, and finishing clinically.
The goals began to flow, with Dylan Ayres and Tyler Roach both getting on the scoresheet, while Matt Oliver stole the spotlight with an excellent hat-trick to cap off a brilliant attacking performance. The energy, teamwork, and determination shown in the second half turned the game into a commanding 7–1 win by the final whistle.
