Great News Allstars Family - The Skydive Is Back ON!!!

After a brief moment of “will it, won’t it,” we’re thrilled to say the big jump is officially happening. And in true football fashion, we’ve made a last-minute substitution that’s got everyone talking…

Stepping up to the plate (or rather, the plane!) is our very own Matt Oliver, who’s bravely volunteered to take the leap. No pressure, Matt — just a small matter of jumping out of a plane thousands of feet in the air!

We couldn’t be more excited (and maybe just a little bit nervous for him), but this is what the Allstars spirit is all about — stepping up, supporting each other, and doing something amazing together.

Now it’s over to you! Let’s get behind Matt and make this skydive count. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference and helps us reach our goal.

Click here to donate and show your support!

Let’s give Matt the send-off he deserves and make this an unforgettable Allstars moment!

Weekend Roundup!

Under 8s Girls
Our Under 8 Girls wrapped up their 25/26 season with huge progress to celebrate. Starting the year as a small group, many with no football experience, the girls have grown week by week under Matt, Luke, and James. From chasing the ball into corners to confidently controlling the game, every player has contributed. Player of the Match: Lily – a new addition who impressed with tireless work and skill on the ball.

Under 11s
What an incredible day for our U11s! Every player gave 110% – effort, teamwork, and attitude were all spot on. Archie was outstanding, scoring 2 goals and leading by example, but every player could have been Player of the Day. With only 7 players and no substitutes, the commitment from all of them was inspiring.

Under 15s Orange
A tough weekend against second-placed Caerau Ely FC ended 1-2. Oliver Elliot scored a great equaliser before an unfortunate challenge ended his game. The second half allowed Caerau Ely to take control, but the boys showed determination throughout. Player of the Match: Jo Minte – worked tirelessly, winning crucial tackles and keeping the team in the game.

Under 15s Black
The Black team faced Clwb Cymric and, while the game ended 0-8, the players showed resilience and commitment. First-season growing pains are expected, but week by week, the team is improving under Coach Tyler and the U15 coaching team. The character shown despite the scoreline is something to be proud of.

Youth Team
Facing Sully Sports FC Youth – Blacks, the Youth team went into halftime only 1-0 down, showing strong organisation and work rate. While the second half ended 0-6, as a first-year team, growth and improvement are being shown week by week. We have full belief that the team will continue to develop and achieve great results.

First Team
A challenging matchup against league leaders Splott Albion ended 0-6. The team fought hard throughout the 90 minutes and showed great determination even when the game was difficult. Attention now turns to the next game against AFC Whitchurch, where the Allstars will be looking to respond strongly.

Reserves
The Reserves faced second-placed Llanrumney Athletic and, despite a 0-13 result, the effort and persistence throughout the match was excellent. The team will be looking to build on their character and respond in next weekend’s home derby against Pentwyn Dynamos Reserves.

Across the club, Cardiff Allstars FC has shown commitment, resilience, and continuous improvement. One weekend’s results do not define us – the focus is on growth, teamwork, and bouncing back stronger next time!

The Weekend Roundup!

It was another busy and valuable weekend for Cardiff Allstars FC, with teams across multiple age groups continuing to show development, resilience, and strong team spirit despite a mix of results.

The Under 8 Girls focused on progression over results, recording one win, one draw, and one loss. With active in-game coaching throughout, the emphasis remained on learning and development. The team’s improvement since the start of the season has been remarkable, highlighted by an excellent debut performance from Abigail, who earned Player of the Match with a goal and outstanding effort.

The Under 11s also demonstrated great character in a challenging set of fixtures. While results did not go their way, the boys maintained a positive attitude and continued to work hard for one another. Josh was named Player of the Match for his determination and consistent effort throughout.

A standout performance of the weekend came from the Under 15 Orange side, who delivered an impressive 5–1 victory over AFC Whitchurch. A fast start saw Oliver Elliott score twice in the opening minutes, setting the tone for a dominant display. Contributions across the team, including goals from Kian Gilbertson, Joel Sutcliffe, and Rocco Lowery, reflected a strong collective performance. Rocco was awarded Player of the Match for an outstanding all-round display. The match also saw promising contributions from Joel and Rory stepping up from the Black team.

The senior side faced a tough challenge against Cardiff Bay FC. Despite taking an early lead through Matt Oliver, the team went into half time trailing. A strong second-half response, with goals from Billy Osabuohien and Tyler Roach, brought the game back within reach, but Cardiff Bay ultimately secured the win. The performance, however, showed resilience and determination, particularly after a prolonged break in fixtures.

The Reserves also faced difficult opposition in the league leaders. Carl Boardman scored the team’s only goal, assisted by Jack Ellery, in a match that tested the squad. Despite the result, the team showed commitment throughout and will look to build on the experience in their upcoming fixture.

Across all age groups, the weekend reflected the club’s continued focus on development, teamwork, and perseverance, with every squad showing signs of progress as the season moves forward.

Playing with Heart – Cardiff Allstars Shine on Valentine’s Weekend

A weekend full of determination, teamwork, and true Allstars spirit across the club!

Saturday – Cardiff Allstars FC
The senior Allstars were involved in a thrilling encounter against Clwb Sparta FC. After going two goals down early, the team showed great character to pull one back before halftime (1–2).
An early second-half goal from Sparta made the challenge even tougher, but the Allstars responded brilliantly, scoring twice in five minutes to level the game at 3–3.
Despite the fightback, a late goal from Sparta saw the match finish 3–4. A hard-fought performance with a real never-say-die attitude and plenty of positives to take into next week.

Sunday – Cardiff Allstars FC Under 8 Girls
In extremely wet conditions and with low numbers, the girls showed incredible resilience and commitment throughout their matches.

Game 3: 2–0 vs Radyr Rangers (Blue)

Pride Over Points for Cardiff Allstars!

It was a busy and challenging weekend for Cardiff Allstars FC across multiple age groups, with plenty of effort, resilience, and positive attitudes on display despite mixed results.

Youth Team vs Barry Athletic

Following a reschedule from Sunday to Friday due to weather-related pitch cancellations, the Youth team were eager to get back into action. Despite a strong effort and commitment, the match finished 1–5 to Barry Athletic. On another day, with a few decisions going differently, the result could have been much closer.
Goal: Kristian Roach

Under 15 Orange vs Tiger Bay FC

A highly anticipated fixture ended in abandonment following repeated dangerous and unsporting behaviour from the opposition. Despite entering the game with only one substitute and being forced to play the majority of the match without a bench, the Allstars showed exceptional discipline and character throughout.

After going behind, the boys responded with a well-worked goal from Oliver Elliot, assisted by Jenson Lewis, and continued to battle despite fatigue and cramp setting in. Ultimately, the referee made the correct decision to abandon the game in the interests of player safety. The fixture is now cancelled pending investigation by the league and the FAW.
Player of the Match: Jenson Lewis

Under 8 Girls

The Under 8 Girls kicked off their 2026 fixtures with smiles, intensity, and determination. While results didn’t fall their way — with illness and post-Christmas rust playing a part — the girls’ attitude and effort were outstanding throughout the morning.

Goal: Peyton (vs North Cardiff Cosmos Blue)
Player of the Match: Daisy – a fantastic debut performance. Welcome to the Allstars family!

A winless weekend for Cardiff Allstars, but one filled with pride in the conduct and character of our players. From the determination and resilience shown by our Youth team and Under 8 Girls, to the perseverance and pride displayed by our Under 15s Orange, every group represented the club in the right way.

This club is special, and week after week our players, coaches, and supporters continue to prove it — through effort, attitude, and unity, regardless of results.

The forecast for next week looks bleak, but we’re hoping for more football and the chance to see more of our Allstars teams back out on the pitch!

Under 8 Girls Impress as Cardiff Allstars Close Out 2025!

Our Under 8 Girls were the only Cardiff Allstars team in action this weekend, and they gave us a fantastic end to the 2025 football calendar.

The girls opened the day with a 1–0 victory against Gwaelod Rangers, with Jess scoring the winning goal after a great assist from Freya. This was followed by a hard-fought 0–0 draw against Radyr Rangers Blue, showing real determination and teamwork. The final game against North Cardiff Cosmos Blue resulted in our first loss of the day, with the girls perhaps already looking ahead to their Christmas break.

A special congratulations to Isla Rose, who was deservedly named Player of the Match after another solid and energetic performance. A special mention also goes to Maddie, who stepped up for her first Allstars appearance and made an immediate impact — a great debut.

A huge thank you to The Harvester Coed y Gores for kindly hosting the girls for their Breakfast with Santa, helping make the day even more special.

With that, our 2025 football season has now come to an end. Thank you to all our players, parents, carers and supporters for your commitment and support throughout the year. Fixtures will resume on 3rd January 2026, with match announcements to follow.

Until then, we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe New Year.

Cardiff Allstars FC are proud to stand alongside the FAW in supporting the Behind the Line campaign!

At our club, creating a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for every child is at the heart of everything we do. Whether you are a coach, volunteer, supporter, parent, guardian, or player, you play an important role in shaping the atmosphere around our pitches and events.

The sidelines are a place for encouragement, respect, and community. We ask everyone involved with the club to help us maintain an environment where children feel confident, valued, and excited to take part. Positive behaviour from adults not only keeps our young players safe, but also sets the example they carry with them both on and off the field.

Any actions or behaviours that create a hostile, unsafe, or intimidating situation for our children will not be tolerated. The club will take firm and appropriate steps to address any misconduct to ensure the wellbeing of all participants. Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and together we can make a real difference.

By supporting the Behind the Line campaign, we commit to:

Promoting positivity and respect on the sidelines

Ensuring that all club events are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable

Protecting the physical and emotional wellbeing of every young player

Standing together as a community to uphold the highest standards of behaviour

Let’s work hand in hand to keep our children safe, our sidelines positive, and our club events fun for everyone. Thank you for being an essential part of the Cardiff Allstars FC family and for helping us create an environment where every child can thrive.

Allstars Shine in 3–1 Victory as Club Awaits Clear Skies for Final 2025 Fixtures!

Unfortunately, due to the poor weather conditions, the rest of our Allstars had their games postponed. While the weather may have halted much of the action, spirits across the club remain high.

Let’s hope for a dry week ahead so all our girls, boys and men can get back on the field for one final matchday of 2025 next weekend!

Under 15's claim shootout victory whilst Under 8's go unbeaten!

Despite the storm affecting many fixtures this weekend, two Allstars teams took to the field and delivered some fantastic performances.

Under 15s

Our U15 squads merged for a one-off friendly against Lisvane. It was a thrilling, end-to-end match that finished 5–5 at full time. The game went to penalties, and after the first five spot-kicks each, the teams were still level. The shootout moved into sudden death, where our Allstars eventually emerged victorious.

Under 8 Girls

The U8 Girls also had a memorable weekend, recording their first ‘no loss’ outing.

Canton FC Blue: 3–0 win (Goals: Jess 2, Freya 1)

Radyr Rangers Black: 1–1 draw (Goal: Jess)

Cardiff Crusaders: 2–0 win (Goals: Jess, Isla Harris)

Player of the Match was awarded to Isla Harris for her continued improvement and her first goal of the season!

Both teams showed tremendous character and skill despite the challenging weather!

While the storm may have called off most of our games this weekend—forcing our Under 11s, Youth, and Seniors to miss fixtures—that doesn’t mean they’ve been sitting at home! Cardiff Allstars are pushing their fitness with a weekly 5k challenge across all teams. A true Allstar will always see the opportunity to improve, and we are incredibly proud of every single one of our children and men taking part in this challenge.

Weekend Round-Up: Allstars Show Heart Despite Tough Conditions

It was another busy (and very wet!) weekend of football for our Cardiff Allstars teams, with plenty of effort, goals, and great sportsmanship across the age groups.

Under 8 Girl's

The Under 8 Girls showed fantastic spirit in their matches this weekend. After two hard-fought losses against Radyr Rangers Blue and North Cardiff Cosmos Red, the girls bounced back brilliantly to beat Canton FC Yellow 3–1, thanks to a stunning hat-trick from Jess!

Player of the Match: Isla – for her hard work, positive attitude, and determination.

Under 11's

The Under 11s showed real resilience this weekend. They started with a tough 3–0 loss to Tiger Bay FC, but bounced back in style! A 3–1 win over Avenue Hotspur Red saw Oscar Wood net twice and Caiden add another. The boys then finished strong with a commanding 4–0 victory over Marshfield Navy, featuring another brace from Oscar, a goal from Caiden, and one from Nico.

Player of the Match: Caiden – outstanding throughout.

First Team

Our First Team faced Porth Harlequins FC in Round 3 of the Hugh James SWFA Senior Cup. After going behind early, Matt Oliver levelled the score in the 31st minute with a well-taken goal assisted by Zach Stephens. The game remained tight, but the Allstars were unfortunate to fall short in the penalty shootout after a strong performance.

Unfortunately, our U15s Orange, U15s Black, Youth, and Reserves weren’t in action this weekend due to poor pitch conditions. They’ll be back next week ready to go again!

Another weekend full of Allstars pride, perseverance, and progress across the club. Rain or shine — we keep shining!

Allstars U8s Round Off a Positive Weekend of Football

The Cardiff Allstars FC Under 8s wrapped up the weekend with three spirited performances today. Although no goals or wins came their way, the progress this young team is making week by week is clear for all to see. Their determination, teamwork, and willingness to keep pushing forward were a real highlight.

Player of the Match was awarded to Freya, whose tireless energy and effort set the tone for the team — even after she had already run herself (and the rest of the girls) ragged before kick-off!

The fantastic support from the sidelines once again gave the players a lift, with encouragement so strong it was even noticed by others around the ground.

That rounded off another successful weekend for the Allstars, with plenty of positives to build on across all age groups. We go again next weekend with confidence and momentum.

And if that wasn't enough excitement for one weekend — we’ve got some exciting Allstar news coming soon about a very special event on 12th October. Stay tuned!

Cardiff Allstars Saturday Round-Up

It was another positive Saturday for Cardiff Allstars, with both the Reserves and Under 11s showcasing their progress and determination.

Despite many fixtures being called off due to heavy rain, the Reserves pushed through and secured a well-earned 2-0 victory over Grangetown Catholic Old Boys FC. The squad continues to grow in strength and unity, drawing on players from both the first team and youth setup to deliver consistent performances. Man of the Match went to Antony Barry, who impressed with a goal and an assist.

The Under 11s enjoyed a busy schedule with three matches, coming away unbeaten. They opened with a hard-fought 2-2 draw, before showing their quality with a 3-0 win and rounding off the day with a confident 2-0 victory. The team’s spirit shone through, even in difficult weather conditions, and the support from parents was invaluable. Harrison earned Man of the Match for his outstanding defensive display.

A great start to the weekend all round for the Allstars — with teamwork, resilience, and plenty of encouragement for the weeks ahead.

Cardiff Allstars U15 v's Marshfield U15

A strong effort from Cardiff Allstars U15’s today, but it ended in a 3-1 defeat against a good Marshfield U15’s side. Plenty of positives to take from the performance and lots to build on as the season gets going.
